Considered a pioneer in the field of marine engineering, he has contributed his vast array of knowledge and expertise to fellow engineers, thus solidifying his foundation in the global industry.

Mr. Kwon began his career as a student at the Seoul National University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in engineering, naval architecture, and ocean engineering in 1982. He is a member of the Korean LNG Bunkering Industry Association and the Program Committee of LNG19.

A leading voice in the field, Mr. Kwon has been active with a number of professional organizations. He has been a speaker with GASTECH, the Korea Maritime Institute, KORMARINE, the Ministry of Foreign Affair and Article Economic Council, and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and the Institute of Arctic Logistics. He has also spoken for the Gas Asia Summit, the Asia Pacific Gas Conference, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Korea-Norway Greenship Seminar, the Arctic Circle Assembly, the and Marine Propulsion Conference.
