Expo 2020 Dubai’s Premier Partnerships Take Off With Emirates Airline
‘Hello Tomorrow’: Expo’s first Premier Partnership with Emirates Airline to help bring 25 million visitors to Dubai for the global mega event
As Expo 2020’s first Premier Partner, Emirates Airline will play a key role in bringing visitors to the event. Under the terms of the partnership, Emirates will be a licensed ticket reseller. Emirates’ global brand and marketing, and its extensive route network to over 150 destinations means that it is uniquely well placed to support Expo 2020 Dubai in attracting 25 million visitors, 70% of whom are expected to travel internationally.
HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed welcomed the partnership, saying: “[Dubai is] our home. It’s Emirates Airline’s base city. And I’m sure that Emirates and many other companies also will benefit out of it. And we are right at a key point, connecting the world, and I think having the Expo in Dubai, and with Emirates, we’ll be able to connect to six continents.”
Commenting on the worldwide reach of Emirates, HE Reem Ebrahim Al Hashimy, said: “We believe very strongly that network, that incredible operation, that access to millions of people from all around the world, but in particular, to emerging nations, to this particular Arab region, Sub-Saharan Africa region, Central Asia, Indian Sub-Continent region, brings together Dubai as a nexus point and further underscores what Dubai Expo could be and will be.”
One of the world’s largest events, Expo 2020 Dubai will see 180 countries showcasing themselves. The Premier Partnership with Emirates Airline is the highest of three tiers of partnerships that Expo will be entering into. The agreement grants exclusive rights and benefits for Emirates Airline and other businesses within Emirates Group, including branding and marketing rights.
