XL Completes Development of ‘Static Electricity Removal Soft X-ray Tube’ for Reducing Display Defect Rate
When static electricity occurs at the digital display (AMOLED, LCD, PDP) product line, the product defect rate increases.
Eliminating static electricity in the product line is a very effective method of lowering the defect rate at low cost and effort.
Soft X-ray tube applied the ionization reaction of X-ray. With the negative and positive ion emitted when radiating soft X-ray in air, the static electricity is cleared away on the board.
Discharge probe or ion blower method crease particles that may affect sensitive parts such as semiconductors. However, the soft X-ray tube does not have such risk. In addition, it maintains high ion density and appropriate ion balance.

The new soft X-ray tube has an expanded radiating angle, and its X-ray intensity uniformity was improved. The metal valve improved exothermicity and the non-evaporable getter advanced the vibration durability.
