i-SENS awarded with the “30 Million Dollars Export Tower”

SEOUL--(Korea Newswire)--On December 5th, i-SENS, Inc., (CEO, Geun Sig Cha) was awarded with the ’30 Million Dollars Export Tower’ and its increase in overseas export sales was recognized.

“The 49th Trade Day” sponsored by the Korea International Trade Association and the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, awards companies with the ‘Export Tower’ to those who had contributed to the improvements in the Korean trade balance during the period of July 2011 to June 2012 by calculating the amount of exports.

i-SENS has been competing with global companies such as Roche and Johnson & Johnson with its glucometer strips and has been exporting to the U.S., Europe, Japan, and places world-wide. Awarded with ‘20 Million Dollars Export Tower’ in 2011, i-SENS has been continuously increasing its export sales and expanding its sales network by placing branches in the U.S., Europe, and China.

i-SENS has completed with its construction of the 2nd factory in Incheon Songdo Free Economic Zone this year. The Songdo factory has a production capacity of 0.7billion strips per year and will focus on with the OEM production for a Japanese company, Arkray. Also, the Songdo factory features specialized facilities for research and development, which will widen opportunities for the next-generation products.

In 2012, i-SENS is expected to reach 62 million dollars in sales, increased 30% from the previous year sales of 48 million dollars. i-SENS has been a promising company with its success in IPO, and is about to be listed on the KOSDAQ.
