KOHI, successfully concluded ‘Maternal and Child Health Promotion’ Program With KOICA
The course was anticipated to help decrease Maternal Mortality Rate(MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate(IMR) which were chosen as one of Millennium Development Goals. Lecturers from the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Korea CDC, and medical schools delivered quality lectures to the trainees. The trainees also visited Seoul National University Hospital, Planned Population Federation of Korea, and public health center to see and learn Korea's health systems.
Fauster Kwashie Kwawununu, a senior specialist of obstetrics and gynecology department, Ghana, said “The course was organized very well and I got many ideas from the course. Now it is time to put to use the skills and knowledge I acquired here for my country.” He also added “ I am very impressed by Korea people's hard works to improve health and economy dramatically.”
KOHI will run various programs, including Health Policy and Program Management, and Population and Reproductive Health to contribute to improvement of the world's health.
