- For many companies in Asia, the same cautious approach from 2011 is likely to carry on into 2012
- While most companies in Asia remain conservative in hiring, the job market remains buoyant in emerging markets such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam
- Banks and financial services firms throughout Asia may adopt a ‘wait-and-see’ approach initially, companies will continue to hire for critical positions
CANDIDATE SHORTAGE TO CONTINUE IN KOREA
- Increased competition for bilingual professionals is anticipated as more Korean firms expand into markets overseas
- Salary increases of 10% are projected for job-seekers for many professional positions
- Securing top talent will remain a challenge with the talent pool in Korea expected to remain candidate-short
