Medirune Registers the Patent for ‘Portable Combined Stimulator for Alleviation of Menstrual Pain’
The ‘portable combined stimulator for alleviation of menstrual pain’ registered at this time is a technology that utilizes ergonomically designed female-exclusive stimulation patch to effectively alleviate menstrual pain.
Currently, Medirune has applied such technology to the female-exclusive patch, and exhibits through the product I-Rune. The female-exclusive patch applied to I-Rune is different from the existing low-frequency stimulator in that it does not just adjust the strength of TENS, but exerts TENS and heat at the same time to acquire even greater effects.
By attaching and using the female-exclusive patch on abdomen, back or such, it exerts the warming (moxa effect) and TENS using various protocols at the same time for stimulus on the acupuncture points.
Unlike existing products, I-Rune has the waveform of TENS and various protocols optimized for pain, and features functionalities of pressing, squeezing, and tapping, and by putting it on the auto mode, the first 3 functions are automatically repeated. Also, the temperature adjustment and 15-step TENS strength adjustment are available for the ease of use.
I-Rune features not only such functionality but also portability and design altogether. The main unit with vivid pastel-tone color and stylish and adorable design is also lightweight and easy for anyone to use, and features simple portability as it can be recharged with USB or generic cell phone 24-pin adapter.
On the other hand, Medirune is in the process of negotiation of export contract with Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan and such for full-scale advancement into foreign markets, and is planning to introduce various products by participating in the KIMES 2012 to be held in February next year.
