M+W Group Completes An Ultra-Modern Paint Manufacturing Facility For Jotun In Malaysia

NILAI, MALAYSIA/STUTTGART, GERMANY--(Korea Newswire)--M+W Malaysia, a subsidiary of the global engineering and construction company M+W Group, has completed the new paint manufacturing facility for Jotun Malaysia in Nilai. Jotun Malaysia is a subsidiary of Jotun A/S in Norway. Its new ultra-modern greenfield facility with a gross area of 93,000 square-meters is the largest Jotun plant in the Asia Pacific region. It consists of 15 buildings including a process based solvent based production factory. M+W Malaysia was responsible for the complete construction project including major civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical and process piping work. The project time from first ground breaking until final completion took about 18 months. The project team achieved an excellent EHS (Environment, Health, Safety) record with 1.95 Million man-hours without any loss time incident.

The new Jotun facility has a very own colourant manufacturing plant, the first outside Norway. It is also poised to be the worldwide hub for Jotun’s unique antifouling paints.
