GE Congratulates Host City for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games

Recently GE announced that it will be extending its partnership with the IOC for another eight years, beginning with the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Russia and continuing with the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and through the 2020 Games.

The partnership extension sees GE continue as the exclusive provider of a wide range of innovative technology and products including: energy generation systems; energy distribution systems; diagnostic imaging; monitoring; lighting fixtures and systems; aircraft engines; rail transportation; water treatment facilities and services; and equipment and transportation management.
GE’s Olympic partnership first launched in January 2005 with high tech solutions provided for Torino 2006, Beijing 2008 and Vancouver 2010.
GE is also a sponsor of the upcoming London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
