Freescale Technology Forum Americas opens today

SEOUL--(Korea Newswire)--Freescale Semiconductor (NYSE: FSL) kicks off the Freescale Technology Forum (FTF) Americas today at the JW Marriott Hill Country Resort in San Antonio, Texas. Approximately 2,000 designers, applications engineers, industry experts, executives and hardware, software and tools partners are on hand for four intensive days of learning and networking.

The FTF Americas 2011 program features a 40,000 square-foot interactive Technology Lab with more than 200 demonstrations from Freescale and its partners. The event also includes more than 350 hours of technical training sessions organized into five tracks: Automotive, Consumer, Industrial, Networking and Enabling Technologies.

“We are delighted to be hosting FTF again this year, as it is truly a premiere technical training event for embedded engineers, ranking third among industry events attended by engineers in the ‘2011 Embedded Market Study’ just released by EE Times,” said Henri Richard, senior vice president and chief sales and marketing officer for Freescale. “It provides a unique opportunity for attendees to view and interact with the Freescale ecosystem, a global community comprised of Freescale and its partners, customers and universities.”

The theme for the global FTF 2011 program is “Powering Innovation.” Freescale will emphasize not only its leading technologies and products that help embedded developers differentiate their designs - but also the comprehensive, market-focused spectrum of enablement solutions and ecosystem partnerships needed to help developers innovate and accelerate their time to market.

Attendees will also be innovating ‘on site’ at the event in the Make It Challenge where they have the opportunity to participate in one of two tracks, Mechatronics Robot or Tower System, each of which provides a different choice of tools with which to build their creative, inventive application.

Highlights from the event, including videos, photos, collateral and technical session recordings, will be uploaded to www.freescale.com/FTF frequently throughout the conference. Updates will also be posted to Freescale’s Facebook page, YouTube page, Freescale’s Twitter feed, and the Freescale Technology Forum page on LinkedIn.

Keynote presentations at FTF Americas
Tuesday, June 21 – Rich Beyer, Freescale chairman of the board and chief executive officer
