Citi Point Donation Campaign for emergency relief to earthquake-struck Japan

SEOUL--(Korea Newswire)--Citibank Korea Inc. (CEO Yung-Ku Ha, www.citibank.co.kr) announced that it began Citi Point Donation Campaign as a part of emergency relief to Japan struck by mega scale earthquake and tsunami together with Habitat Korea until May 31, 2011.

Citibank Korea was the first Korean company to enter into a partnership with Habitat Korea in 1998 since which total 700 employees of the Bank have participated in building a ‘House of Hope”. Every year about 100 Citibank Korea employees and their families join in ‘Build a House of Hope with Citi Family’ in a joint effort with the neighborhood community.

Citi Point donation for emergency relief to Japan can be made via Citibank homepage (www.citibank.co.kr) or CitiPhone (1566-1000) or Citicard payment if there are no points.

Habitat Korea plans to investigate the scale and severity of the damage and work with Habitat Japan to conduct recovery actions according to “Habitat’s Rescue Process”. Citicard will use its donated points to help remove debris from the devastated buildings and provide essential emergency equipments to households. This donation is intended to bring hope to the people of Japan and give them a warm hand for recovery in partnership with Habitat.
