Citibank Korea Offers, Full exemption of Internet Banking Money Transfer fee with no conditions

SEOUL--(Korea Newswire)--Citibank Korea, Inc. (CEO Ha Yung Ku, www.citibank.co.kr) announced that the money transfer fee tied to Internet Banking will be fully exempt for all customers for up to 10 transactions per month with no conditions from March 14th, 2011. Transfer fees will be charged during the month when the transaction occurs but the fees will be deposited back to customers’ accounts in the following month.

Some banks in Korea have offered money transfer fee exemptions for customers under conditions such as maintaining a minimum account balance. However, Citibank Korea differentiates itself from competitors by offering a money transfer fee exemption with no conditions.

Moreover, Citibank Korea has offered money transfer fee exemptions via mobile banking and smart-phone banking since last year. Accordingly, all customers who use Citibank Korea’s online channels can conveniently use the money transfer service without the burden of a related fee expense for up to 10 times per month.

Citibank Korea hosts ‘Internet Banking Money Transfer Customer Appreciation Event’ from March 14th to May 31st in celebration of the full exemption of Internet Banking money transfer fees. Customers can register for this lottery event at the Citibank Korea Website. Customers, who transfer money via online channels: Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, and Smart-phone Banking, will be randomly selected for gifts and the possibility of winning will increase according to the number of money transfers conducted. A Total of 420 winners will get bakery vouchers, gas vouchers, department store vouchers, and entertainment vouchers from this event.
