HELSINKI, FINLAND--(뉴스와이어)--SkySQLAb, the leading alternative source for software, services and support for the MySQL® database, today announced the expansion of its growing global footprint with the addition of three new distribution and support partners in the Asia-Pacific region.

These strategic partnerships, including CREO Systems, GlobaLINK, and TouchSolutions, will allow SkySQL to further meet the growing customer demand for an alternative to Oracle® MySQL® support and services worldwide.

“SkySQL has become a magnet for both expert MySQL talent and best of breed ecosystem partners,” said Daniel Saito, Director of Sales, JAPAC region, for SkySQL. “The addition of CREO Systems, GlobaLINK, and TouchSolutions shows that leading IT solution providers are taking notice of SkySQL's explosive growth worldwide. We are honored to work alongside these leading IT solutions providers to give MySQL users in the Asia-Pacific region the alternative source of software, support, and services that they desire.”

With today's announcement, SkySQL adds three new strategic partners in Korea, the Philippines, and Singapore that will resell SkySQL™ products and services, as well as provide first level support in local, native languages. These partners will supply SkySQL™ support subscriptions for the MySQL® and MariaDB® databases, SkySQL™ Training, and SkySQL™ Professional Services.

The company's new authorized distribution and support partners include:

CREO Systems, a sales and distribution partner in Korea
· “We are thrilled to be working with SkySQL because of the wealth of expertise they have to offer,” said Shin Hwanchul, CEO, CREO Systems. “Because the company is founded and comprised of former MySQL executives, they have a familiarity with the MySQL database that is hard to match. That fact, coupled with our own industry leading knowledge of selling solutions and providing support in our local market, is the ultimate boon for MySQL users in this region.”

GlobaLINK, an IT service provider based in Singapore
· “SkySQL's many accomplishments in its first twelve weeks in operations were hard to ignore,” said Anthony Wong, Director, GlobaLINK. “In this short period of time, the company has already emerged as a strong alternative to Oracle MySQL software, services, and support, which makes our partnership with them both logical and essential. With their rapidly expanding customer base, we look forward to working alongside a company such as SkySQL because of their potential for future growth worldwide.”

TouchSolutions, a provider of end-to-end information and communications technology solutions and services based in the Philippines and ASEAN countries
· “The demand for a company that provides an alternative source for software, services, and support for the MySQL database has never been greater,” said Anson Uy, CEO, TouchSolutions. “Users are clamoring for a company that combines industry expertise and a commitment to the future development of the MySQL database, with familiar and affordable pricing options. SkySQL fits that bill perfectly.”

In January, SkySQL announced rapid growth in only its first twelve weeks in operation, growing its sales force, workforce, global partnerships, and customer count. Those customers, such as Canal+ and BörseGo include a growing number of former Oracle MySQL customers that have made the switch to SkySQL.

Founded by a number of former MySQL AB executives, personnel, and investors, SkySQL began offering software, services and support for the MySQL database in October 2010. The company is committed to furthering the future development of MySQL database technologies, while delivering cost-effective database solutions and exceptional customer service. More than 95 percent of the company is comprised of former MySQL AB employees, allowing SkySQL to provide services and support by familiar, long-time MySQL experts.

SkySQLAb is funded by a number of prominent investors, including lead investor OnCorps, as well as Open Ocean Capital, which was also an owner in MySQL AB.
