Author tells the significance of Christmas in a book

Seoul, Korea--(뉴스와이어)--The lights of a huge Christmas tree, set up at Manmin Central Church in Southern Seoul, are turned on the evening of December 10th as the holidays near.

The church‘s Christmas tree is gaining attention from passers-by as well as neighbors. The tree was decorated with LED’s, neon lights and light bulbs. On December 10th, the 2010 Christmas Lighting Ceremony was held in front of the main sanctuary of the church with thousands of members in attendance.

Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee, the author of the book ‘The Message of the Cross’ and senior pastor of the church, gave a congratulatory message for Christmas. He said in his message, “I am thankful for the love of the Lord who came to this world about 2010 years ago. He wore a crown of thorns and carried the cross to redeem us from our sins. So Christmas is a very significant and happy day for us who believe in this fact. I always become excited and joyful when Christmas comes every year, and I appreciate all the members who volunteered for the ceremony.”

In his book, The Message of the Cross, he tells the meaning of Christmas. The Law of the Old Testament was not the perfect way for God to obtain His true children. That is why God had promised the coming of the Messiah throughout the Old Testament. When the time came, He sent Jesus Christ to this world to keep His promise. It is evident that Jesus came to earth about 2,010 years ago.

Western history is largely divided into two eras according to the birth of Jesus: B.C. stands for Before Christ, meaning the history before the time of Jesus, while A.D. stands for Anno Domini, which means “in the year of our Lord.” Even history itself attests to the birth of Jesus.

Dr. Jaerock Lee has authored the Bible-based evangelical books like “Understanding the Message of the Cross of Jesus Christ”, “Heaven(1,2)”, and “The Power of God” etc. He conducted crusades in Uganda, Japan, Pakistan, Kenya, the Philippines, Honduras, India, UAE, Russia, Germany, Peru, USA and Israel.
